Meena was deeply passionate about the causes of education and women’s empowerment.
So she started an NGO* by the name ‘Ngurang Learning Institute’ in 2014.

young age. Now that my
husband is dead, how
will I take care of Don’t worry,
our family alone? we will help
you.

Through the NGO, she helped many women who faced difficulties due to unfair traditions
in society like forced marriage, polygamy and child marriage, among others.
