An interactive multimedia biology package for
teachers and students of classes IX-XII. The
package is based on a user-friendly menu-driven
program. Basic concepts of evaluation have been
explained in a simple and easily understandable
manner. Biological organization has been
discussed from evolutionary hierarchy, taxonomic
hierarchy, and ecological hierarchy to genetic
hierarchy. Graphics, animations, simulations,
models and videos in as well as hypertexted
additional information at appropriate locations
help in making the package more comprehensible
for the user. Integrated audio description with the
package lends to holistic teaching learning
environment. The evaluation purpose of the
package can be derived from the question bank at
the end, making this package a complete learning
tool.
